Where ever LOVE falls
Performative Installation, Artist Statement PARALLEL Vienna 2020
Ein Text wurde mit Pinsel an die Decke geschrieben. Es ist die Montage eines szenischen Dialogs
und eines inneren Monologs. Man liest von Alltagssorgen eines bürgerlichen Paares im Wechsel mit
dem Selbstgespräch einer Person, welche kurz vor dem finanziellen Ruin steht.
Zwischen den Passagen
zitiere ich gängige Sinnsprüche des Internets. Manche Inhalte veränderte ich leicht: ursprüngliche
Motivationssprüche kippen, werden zu zynisch-grotesken Kommentaren.
Die Leiter, die während des Schreibprozesses verwendet wurde, abgedeckt mit einem weißen Tuch,
verblieb als temporäre Skulptur im Raum. Ein gestaltetes Zelt mit einem Video, in welchem
Fragmente des Dokumentarfilms" What Happiness Is" von "Money ... money ... money ... ", als
dem eigentlichen Grund für ein Glücksgefühl erzählen, sowie ein kleines Wandobjekt ― ein idealistisches Kurzgedicht
zeigend ― ergänzten die Raumskulptur.
Diese performative Installation wurde für das Künstlerbuch "Lars hatte den Mut oder Voodoo Raga realisiert", Erscheinungsdatum: April/Mai 2021
A text was written on the ceiling with a brush. It is the montage of a scenic dialogue and an inner monologue.
One reads about everyday worries of a bourgeois couple alternating with the soliloquy of a person who is on the
verge of financial ruin.
Between the passages I quote common sayings of the Internet. I slightly changed some of the contents: original motivational sayings topple and become cynical-grotesque comments.
The ladder used during the writing process, covered with a white cloth, remained in the space as a temporary sculpture. The room installation was complemented by a designed tent with a video in which fragments of the documentary film "What Happiness Is" tells us about "Money ... money ... money", as the actual reason for a feeling of happiness, and by a small wall object with an idealistic short poem.
