In diesem Projekt wurden Auszüge des zur Ausstellung erschienenen Buches als begehbare Erzählung installiert. Im Gegensatz zum Buch, ermöglicht das Erzählen im Raum eine nichtlineare Rezeption der einzelnen Arbeiten. Jede Besucherin und jeder Besucher bewegt sich unterschiedlich durch die Ausstellung und kreiert also auch eine individuelle "Novelle montage"

Der Hund ist in dieser Erzählung eine Metapher für die Sehnsucht des Menschen nach einem unbedarften Leben. Doch weder das menschliche Denkvermögen, noch erworbenes Wissen sind reversibel.
Denn der Mensch darf nicht Hund sein.


Excerpts from the book (of the same name) appearing for the exhibition are staged as an accessible narrative in this project. By contrast to the book, in which the works necessarily occupy a fixed position, the narrative within space allows for a non-linear form of reception, which is part of the intended conception during installation, but equally escapes my direction because every visitor moves differently within the space, so creating his or her own individual Novelle montage.

In this story the dog is a metaphor of man's longing for an ingenuous life. But neither the human capacity for thought nor acquired knowledge are reversible. Art and culture are the key - there is no escape.
For man cannot be a dog.

Der zweite Versuch - Reset - (Videoarbeit) Übermalungsaktion in der Silvesternacht 2013/14. Maria Peters und Gunter Bakay übermalen alle Namen, alle Orte, Länder, Staatsgrenzen und alle vom Menschen erfundenen Beschriftungen auf einem Globus. Eine poetische Geste. Die Aktion fand in der Galerie A4 - Garage Span in Innsbruck statt.

The Second Attempt - Reset -

Action to paint over a globe on New Year's Eve 2013/14. Maria Peters and Gunter Bakay paint over all the names, places, countries, national borders and other labels invented by man on a globe.
The action took place in the Gallery A4 - Garage Span in Innsbruck.
